Would skills like coding helps you in dreaming and achieving more in 21st century?

Preamble

Hi,

Do you want to be a millionaire, billionaire or a business tycoon?

or

Do you wish to work at Google, Apple or Facebook in package of crores?

or

Are you willing to be next Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos or someone like them?

If you are ambitious enough to do all above mentioned and that too at an early age of 6 then, you should learn coding.

There is one more point, which I forgot to mention, that there are only 9 seats left in the class. So, do hurry and book your seat now to be next millionaire.

Computer Science and Coding
Coding or computer science – Representational Image

This is something similar from the advertisement world through which we are surrounded over social media these days and most interesting part of this market is that if you are looking for such opportunity as an adult, then someone will tell you that just be relaxed, sit at home and make a team on dream11 to play and win lots of money.

So, point is that, if you are also fascinated through such advertisements and thinking that your kid should be the part of this coding revolution otherwise, he or she would be left behind in this competition.

Does coding really matters?

Then, I must tell you that there are lot many skills, which your kid needs to learn at this small age before any professional skill matters. Now, if you will counter that education ministry has also said that coding would be the part of curriculum for kids. So, why should I not opt for the same.

So, I must tell you, it is true that education ministry has mentioned in the New Education Policy – Understanding the importance of mathematical and critical thinking in the new age careers, activities involving coding would also be introduced in middle stage of education system, preferably from class 6.

But this is not the only point which education ministry has mentioned in New Education Policy with reference to the curriculum enhancement. At the same time, New Education Policy also has the mention that – During class 6th – 8th, every student is also required to undertake vocational courses like carpentry, electric work, metal work, gardening, pottery making etc. as prevalent in and decided by the state and local communities.

What is more inside New Education Policy 2020?

Why only coding?

So, if this is the case, why only coding be the part of rat race competitive revolution? Why not the carpentry, electric work, metal work, gardening, pottery making or something likewise be the part of same revolution?

This is basically because of our mentality to generalise every situation with a particular academic discipline. So, as we have started living in the digital world, we have started to connect everything with coding and computer science.

Even, the worst situation is that while advertising creators are creating advertisements as if two persons have met on Facebook and got married, it means technology is now in their blood. Now, as technology is in their blood, their kid should learn coding to be remain ahead in competition. More, we, as consumers, believe all this because this is being fed to our mind through one of our role models.

So, it means that we have started to believe that nothing is possible without coding and computer science and that too without understanding the fact that there is lot more to do even without coding and computer science.

Psychology behind the rat race competition

This could also be understood well with the general psychology of us as humans and that is, we always run behind the so-called scope in particular discipline. So, previously there was rat race of engineering, then it becomes the rat race of agriculture, now pharmacy, computer science and many more like wise cases.

More, the problem is we as creators also have a habit of glorifying the current scenario of any discipline like there is nothing without that and as society, we accept the same just to find and encash the so-called scope in that.

No one even understands the simple concept of demand and supply. In short, this concept is about the understanding of phenomenon that supply of any product / service is justified only till the time it has demand. The quantity of any product / service beyond the demand remains just waste of resources.

Important is to understand that reality is until and unless an individual practice his / her own interest and true potential in life, there is no scope in any particular discipline.

What else than coding?

Now, the questions are – as I have mentioned that there is lot more to learn for kids and that too matter more than just coding. So, what is that? The second question is that as I have emphasised much on learning and practicing one’s own true potential. So, how to identify that true potential of self?

So, coming to the first question – there is much more to learn for kids and that is to learn and understand the emotions of each other, getting involved in sports and other activities in order to understand the importance of team work, inculcating the life skills through community interaction and many more such skills.

Now, coming to the second question – how to identify the true potential of self? So, one can easily identify the true potential and interest to a design a path meant for the happiness and success of themselves through Genetic Brain Profiling.

Don’t miss the conclusion

At last my motive here is not to claim that learning coding is not important. Instead, my motive is to make you realise that don’t make yourself or your kid to be under the huge expectations being raised from the shiny advertisements just for the sake of being ahead through the competition.

More, the reality is that each and every skill is important to live and balance the cycle of life in the society. So, Just take a look at the below snapshot to understand it more effectively.

Importance of Skills

Be Inspired, Stay Active and Enjoy your life with Happiness and Joy.

Thanks
