Problem Statement

After graduating in economics in 2020, this young professional faced an uncertain path. The pandemic forced him to leave his first job, and later, working in the family business left him disengaged. With over two years away from the formal job market, he was struggling with lost confidence and a lack of direction.

Interventions Planned

We began with a series of conversations to understand his situation deeply. Recognizing his self-doubt, we first recommended him to go through an assessment – Genetic Brain Profiling powered by MiDNA Global. It helped him uncover his natural strengths, weaknesses, and personality characteristics. The assessment revealed his natural fit for engineering and technology-related careers with a strong investigative orientation. Building upon these results, we then designed a focused career coaching session with him to help him align his educational background in economics with potential roles in the emerging fields of engineering and technology.

Outcome

This intervention reignited his confidence. He was now envisioning a clear path towards pursuing opportunities in data science and financial analytics while also nurturing his passion for travel, photography, and writing. Most importantly, he regained belief in his abilities and now has a renewed sense of purpose.

Problem Statement

A highly capable young professional, despite being from a non-IT background, had cleared interviews with top IT companies. Yet his heart was set on pursuing an MBA from a premier IIM. Though he cleared the CAT examination, his score was not enough for the top institutions. With the options of joining other IIMs through his reservation, he hesitated because he didn’t want to settle for less. At the same time, he was considering applying and appearing for the bank examination, but was paralyzed by the thought: what if I fail?

Interventions Planned

Through our career development coaching, we unpacked his dilemma. We particularly challenged his thought process, not about his capability, but about his mindset with the fear of failure. His real barrier was not his skills or lack of preparation, but the need to be certain of the outcome even before taking action. Through a series of conversations, we encouraged him to shift his focus to trust his abilities, commit to the preparation, and control the process rather than obsessing over the outcome.

Outcome

Conversations with us, followed by his mindset shift, helped him see his situation differently. Instead of doubting, he began to focus on efforts and discipline. He realized that both appearing for the CAT examinations and banking examinations were within reach, provided he invested his time, efforts, and energy accordingly and rigorously. Most importantly, he learned a lesson that will serve him for life, that growth comes from belief in oneself and consistent actions, not from waiting for guaranteed outcomes.

He was amongst the brightest students in his class – disciplined, high-scoring, and diligent. Yet, during a laboratory oral examination, he suddenly got clueless in answering and performing according to his capabilities. Going through some deeper conversations, what we discovered was the real issue – he was struggling with the weight of parental expectations to pursue engineering and the heartbreak of not qualifying for the NDA examination after school. Though academically strong, he carried a sense of emptiness haunted by a dream he felt had slipped away.

Interventions Planned

We went through a series of conversations with him to reframe his perspective that missing something once doesn’t mean you missed it forever. We helped him explore alternate pathways to get into the defense services post-graduation. We asked him to weigh his choices honestly, to either let the dream fade or commit to preparing again, even if it meant sacrificing some grades. This mindset shift opened his eyes to new possibilities, and he chose to take action accordingly.

Outcome

After completing his engineering degree, he left his placement job to fully dedicate himself to the defense job preparations. A year later, he returned not again to seek guidance but to share his success. He had been selected for the training at the Indian Military Academy. For him, it was the fulfilment of a dream. For us, it was a reminder of the power of listening, guiding, and helping young minds believe that missed chances don’t necessarily mean missed opportunities.

A young ed-tech startup started with a bold vision – to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across schools in India. Their programs are aimed at equipping students with important 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking, preparing them for the realities of the contemporary labor market. While their mission is very clear and ambitious, they face the challenges of building strong internal systems and scalable processes to deliver on their mission without compromising quality as they expand to more schools.

Working closely with the founder, we are focusing on building the internal strength of the startup for scalability. It includes:

• Designing the processes and operational frameworks to align activities with their mission.
• Developing clear performance metrics to measure impact and accountability.
• Ensuring that delivery systems are structured in a way that allows the team to expand without collapsing under pressure.

Outcome

The startup will be equipped with the robust systems and processes that support its growth strategy. With clear metrics in place, they will be able to track their progress, maintain accountability, and scale operations sustainably. Most importantly, they will be equipped with the confidence that their vision to transform how schools prepare students for the future of work can be delivered at scale without losing focus on quality.

A young health-tech startup driven by passionate founders was beginning to gain traction in its market. However, as the team expanded, they were finding challenges in setting clear roles and responsibilities to ensure structured processes and consistent communication among team members. They were observing that the efforts of the employees are not aligned with the organizational goals, in certain cases, and finding difficulty with their team taking ownership and responsibility for the tasks. These gaps were affecting the productivity and morale of the team members, further affecting the organizational performance.

Interventions Planned

We started by having continuous interactions with the leadership team and the team members at frequent intervals, understanding the problem at the core and gaining the perspective of employees as well. Then we begin with conducting training sessions focused on time management, leadership, communication, and team building, tailored to their specific needs. This helped employees understand not just their individual responsibilities but also how their roles contribute to the fulfillment of the company’s larger vision. This also helped them understand the power of taking inputs from everyone in effective and better decision-making. Alongside, we worked with the leadership team to design systems, processes, and a performance framework covering everything from role clarity to evaluation metrics and feedback loops. The goal was to ensure both accountability and collaboration.

Outcome

During the initial months of interventions, the startup has witnessed a significant improvement through smoother workflows and stronger team cohesion. Systems and processes are made robust for employees to have a better sense of ownership and for founders to free themselves from micromanaging daily tasks. The interventions have been done with an aim to not only solve immediate challenges but also enable the startup with a scalable foundation for long-term success.
