Struggles of My Life

Struggles of My Life

This is the story of a boy who became a successful Engineer, an entrepreneur, a motivator, an Influencer, a good leader and is trying to bring happiness and smiles on the faces of many children, youngsters, to create a positive environment for a sustainable living and that too just at an age of 22 yrs. This boy is none another than me. Hi everyone, I am Vansh Bhardwaj and doing all these activities. My purpose to write my own story and submit it here is not just to aware you that I am doing all these activities but to aware you that why I’m doing all this, what makes me to do things like these at this age when most of my friends and people around me are busy in enjoying the brightness of their life and I’m finding my brightness in all these things.

It all started when I was in 8th standard, our family was suffering from financial crisis, my father was doing lots of hard work but was not even able to get enough to have a good meal. So, I was continuously observing all these struggles of my parents. Although, I was not a very intelligent student but I started with teaching students around me with whatever I know so that some support could be there with my family to manage finances. I continued with this teaching part and then it was the time for my 10th board examinations, and hopefully I scored good percentage and even topped my school. Now, when my batchmates were planning for their 11th class and further studies, I was searching for some cheaper options as situation was not so good. At that time, I had cleared my Polytechnique entrance exam with a very good rank and was thinking to start with it but at that time my teachers guided and helped me a lot and they said that you should at least give a try for IIT or some other good exams you can easily crack those. This boosted me up and then I started with my 11th class studies and preparation for IIT entrance examination. However, I still continued my past teaching practices even I also started teaching my batch mates as well, the process was going and I was learning many things not only related to my studies but also related to life, number of lessons were taught at that time and I was growing with those lessons. Since, it was the time for my 12th boards result and unexpectedly my grades / score was not good enough although I qualified my IIT entrance examination but unfortunately could not be able to take admission in that or in some good government colleges due to financial issues and some other tragedies of that time. But my father never let me down and supported me in all possible ways. He worked hard and managed to get an education loan and then I got admitted in one of most reputed college of the Uttarakhand state that is College of Engineering, Roorkee (COER).

With this, I started a new chapter of my life. I was learning number of new skills; I was exploring the technical knowledge and all other aspects of engineering. Being a student of mechanical engineering, I used to make, develop, and innovate number of working models, projects etc. Here I could not forget to mention the great support, which I received from my faculties and college management. I used to go for tech competitions in number of IITs, NITs, and other colleges and also won various events. All these things, I was doing but sometimes it was difficult to manage alone and then I got a wonderful support from one of my best friends named as Utkarsh Rawat.  He was also very brilliant in technical stuff. Our journey was going very interesting and my teaching practices were also continued parallelly and then in the starting of our 3rd semester of engineering, we started with our startup of CCTV based surveillance system and manufacturing technical models, drones etc. Through this start up, we were able to give employment to 3 needy persons, make them learn new things as we established our business. With this, we also started our one more startup for t-shirts, mugs and corporate items printing. We also established this and gave employment to another 2 – 3 persons and they were also exploring and learning new things with it. As we established our startups and now, I was thinking to do something more. So, we started with our NGO Udgam which we created by keeping in mind that we have to share our knowledge and create a new future for the sustainable growth of India. We started visiting slum areas, orphanage and I started my teaching practices over there free of cost.

It was the start of my 7th semester, I started with one more startup named Shivyog Organics where we were manufacturing vermicompost with a vision to give a rich nutritious organic food and to protect mother earth from harmful poisonous pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

During lockdown, I also run a 50 days regular food drive helping needy persons in fulfilling their strive of hunger, gave children study material to engage them with some good activities, we also opened 12 libraries at different villages to give an easy educational access to the future of the nation.

This is a very brief journey of mine. I learnt a lots of lessons, have faced very tough time, struggled a lot but only thing I felt is that if you have a positive attitude and mindset, you will always get something good.

Last thing, I wish to say here is that we should get inspired from the people around us and at the same time also give inspiration to the people around us in every possible moment of our life. There are both hopes and disappointments, positive part and negative part in every phase, everything of life it only depends on us that what we are seeking, taking, absorbing or not.

This is a very small part from my small life which I wanted to share with you all as part of my story. At last, in any way if I’m able to help anyone I’m always there for everyone.
