What makes the Education so important in our life in 21st century

Preamble

Education, what is it? Why is it important for the individuals living in the society to be educated? These are some of the questions, may be not going to trigger your mind right now. Even, you may think what happened now that I have started asking such questions. But, if you will think for a while, you may realise that these questions are worthy to be asked. Moreover, they need to be answered for drawing some insights over the real purpose of education. Therefore, today we are going to have conversation over the importance of being educated in any society and drawing insights for “Why the governments should focus much on education?”

Education

Now starting with the second question first and that is “why is it important ……………. educated?” There might be several opinions over the same but the basic and common opinion could be to earn money for the living. Now, what other answers could be? They could be like to have respect in the society, to live life with luxuries, to fulfil your ambitions and likewise. But are these the only purposes of the education? Or there could be something else.

Before diving deep in details over the same, let’s first understand that what is education? Is it merely a piece of paper, which you have obtained after going through certain exams and getting grades for the same? There are chances that you may agree or disagree with me for the same. Moreover, you may think that definitely this may not be the only criterion of education. But this is one of the primary ways through which you can let everyone know that you are educated. So, what else is there in being educated?

Importance of education

It is well said that your character is the reflection of your thoughts. But how will the public know about your thoughts? Obviously through your work and your work would be the reflection of your education. Now, I think this is the right time to say that “Education is not only the piece of paper but it is what you reflect through your actions”

It is also well known to us that society always appreciates those, who adds value to it. Therefore, the purpose of education should be more than just passing the exams. It should also be to understand the applicability of the acquired knowledge in flourishing the society. It should be to gain those skills which are going to add value in you and the community as well. In my opinion, the core purpose of the education should be to inculcate the values in the individual, which will help in contribution for the betterment of the society and the nation at large.

Concluding Remarks

Moreover, what you will feed in the minds at young stage, it will get reinforced for life. This is the biggest reason for why the education should be imparted in the right way to the young generation?

This is also the reason, why governments and societies should focus much on education? They are required to establish such platforms through which this purpose could be attained. But before establishing them, most important is to nurture the existing facilities through the right kind of support and resources.
