Guided by Grace: A Journey of Challenges and Blessings

Guided by Grace: A Journey of Challenges and Blessings

Under the Supreme Teacher’s guiding hand, I’ve learned;
To live a life so cherished, so duly earned.

Once during a festival, my heart yearned for a temple’s grace,
But distant it stood, a journey to embrace.
So I asked my mother, she promised we’d go, no delay,
But at midnight, unwell she lay.
Yet she assured me, we’d go in the morning’s light,
With hope in her voice, shining bright.
But with divine guidance stirring in my soul,
I gently told her, our visit could wait for her to feel whole.
For the temple’s embrace can wait, I said,
Till you, dear mother, are fully healed and led.

As life’s journey unfolded, a new challenge appeared,
In paths yet to be walked, its presence revered.
In the classroom’s hush, the soft board stood bare,
The task to decorate it, floating in the air.
I took the lead, with initiative in my hand,
But found reluctance from others in the class’s quiet land.
Two students, weary from their tasks, declined my plea,
One too tired, the other lacking in glee.
As a shy soul, I asked no more,
Feeling alone, with hopes on the floor.

But the next day, I turned to God’s grace,
Seeking divine help in that empty space.
With materials in hand, I began the art,
Bringing life to the board, from my heart.

Then a friend approached, offering her hand,
Together we worked, our creativity fanned.
Soon joined by more friends, the board came alive,
With colors and shapes, it started to thrive.

In the end, the soft board stood tall and grand,
A testament to teamwork, hand in hand.
From reluctance to beauty, the journey was trod,
With God’s guidance, and friends by my side, I thanked my lucky star.

Then another challenge begins in life’s journey,
As the festival buzzes with energy and glee.
During the college fest, duty at the help desk was mine,
With another girl and a volunteer, our roles entwined.
Later, asked to stand at the door, only two required,
Yet the volunteer girl, the task desired.

She felt thirsty, but hesitant to leave her place,
Fearing I’d take her spot, she didn’t want to race.
But then she went for water, in a jiffy, she was back,
After half-time, I proposed a switch, but she stayed on track.
A hint of anger rose, but with guidance divine,
I calmed my soul, remembering God’s design.

Many such incidents happened in my life,
But with tutelage of the Supreme Teacher, no strife.
I remained calm, cheerful, and full of zest,
For everything life has to offer, I’m truly blessed.

You can also lead a life that’s cherishable and earned,
But for that, Manmanabhav must be discerned.
And then you will remain under the canopy;
Of the Supreme Teacher, in his blessings aplenty.
His powers will be with you, his love ever near,
Living a life worth remembering, full of God’s cheer.
