Now A Blue Intent

Now A Blue Intent

Once upon a December,
A riot of colours sparked in the air
Until a cold hand swept the canvas clean,
Now everything is a composed slumber.
I built a world where every colour thrived,
But a cold truth was rewriting the map.
I stretched for a height that they swore wasn’t mine
And was mocked for God’s different design this time.
They say every soul emits a luminous light,
Yet I felt mine grow heavy and dim over time.
The world reviewed me through it’s pitying eyes—
A judgement so loud, it forced me to subside.
I surrendered my bloom to the blur of the crowd,
Chose to be quiet, shy, and under confident.
It felt safe, so I latched on to it.
I drew a circle, and called it my
Happy hypnosis.
Then she arrived— a blue witness who folded my space.
Her gaze unstitched the seams of the mask I wore,
I wanted to make her blind,
For she dared to notice my gaps.
She had a vision about me—
To awaken my light while I was lost in the crowd
And that’s how the hum
Finally sharpened into a name.
Her presence feels like a steady hand upon my heart,
I am fueled and fierce
And have an intent,
To see my true self reflected in her vision.
I’m done with my past.
Shrinking was an option I chose,
Now I choose to ascend.
